Your name, address, and phone should match everywhere
Google trusts a business that tells the same story in every place it appears. If your address says "Suite 200" on your site, "Ste. 200" on Yelp, and "#200" on Facebook, that’s three small contradictions — and search engines notice contradictions. Pick one format and use it everywhere, down to the punctuation.
The move
Write your name, address, and phone exactly once. Paste that everywhere from now on.
Do it step by step
- Open a notes app. Type your business name exactly as it should appear everywhere.
- Add your full address in one format — decide on Suite vs. Ste. vs. # and commit.
- Add your phone in one format — (218) 555-0143 — every time.
- That's your master record. Save it where you can always find it.
- Update your website first, then your Google Business Profile.
- Then Yelp, Facebook, and every directory you're listed on.
- From now on, always paste from the master. Never retype from memory.
